Bill Benda

Bill Benda is a TTU Prelaw Program Assistant for the University Advising Center. He is a graduate of James W. Martin High School in Arlington, Texas and is currently a senior at Texas Tech. Bill is a member of Phi Beta Kappa, Eta Omicron Nu (HON), Student Activities Board, and serves as the Committee Chairperson for HON's Pizza with a Prof. Bill intends to graduate with a Bachelor of Arts in May 2010 with a major in Psychology and with minors in Spanish and Forensic Science. He plans to attend Southern Methodist University, Seton Hall University, Duke University, or Texas Tech University Law School and specialize in either Sports Law or Criminal Law.

Jeffrey LawshaJeffrey Lawsha

Jeffrey Lawsha` is a senior at Texas Tech University majoring in Sociology with a minor in Philosophy. Jeffrey is originally from Seattle, WA. In 2005 Jeffrey graduated from Juan Seguin High School in Arlington, TX. Jeffrey's top three choices for law schools are: Seattle University School of Law, DePaul School of Law, and SMU School of Law. Jeffrey is the youngest of five children, with two sisters and two brothers. He is also the proud uncle of 3 nieces and one nephew.

Catlin ClarkCaitlin Clark

Caitlin Clark is a Senior at Texas Tech University. Caitlin is a Business Management major who plans to earn a joint JD and MBA degree after graduation. Caitlin is a local resident of Lubbock, Texas. She enjoys watching movies and hanging out with friends.

Garrett SalzmanGarrett Salzman

Garrett Salzman is a Junior at Texas Tech University who plans to graduate with a Psychology degree and an English minor in the Spring of 2010. Garrett graduated from Hope Christian High in Albuquerque, New Mexico. Garrett plans on attending either the University of Colorado or University of Texas School of Law. He is a member of Phi Alpha Delta Prelaw Fraternity and spends most of his free time listening to music and running.

The TTU Prelaw Program is designed to provide information and outreach to current and prospective Prelaw students. Program Assistants/Ambassadors will be responsible for identifying, gathering, collecting and dispersing general information to all Prelaw students and individual specific information to PLAW students. The primary focus of the Assistant/Ambassador position will be information referral, however a growing emphasis on peer-to-peer mentoring will develop.

TTU Prelaw Assistants/Ambassadors must commit to a student training program sponsored by the TTU Prelaw Program that develops leadership, communication and management skills. Prelaw Assistants/Ambassadors will:

Prelaw Assistants/Ambassadors are academically successful students that have earned more than 15 semesters hours. These students develop leadership skills that will serve them well during the law school application process. Jayton BuxkemperJayton Buxkemper

Jayton is a freshman Business major from Ballinger, Texas. He is interested in the following law schools: University of Texas, Southern Methodist University, and University of Houston. Outside of school, Jayton enjoys playing basketball, working out and being with his friends.

Jennifer DickeyJennifer Dickey

Jennifer Dickey is a freshman at Texas Tech University from Houston, Texas. She is majoring in Business with a minor in Psychology. She plans on attending Texas Tech School of Law or the University of Houston School of Law. Jennifer is also involved in Alpha Chi Omega, Student Government Association, Alpha Lambda Delta and Phi Eta Sigma National Honor Societies. Outside of school she likes to read, spend time with friends, and run.

Charlotte is a sophomore in the College of Business Administration.

Collin HenryCollin Henry

Collin Henry is a junior Business Economics Major from Ballinger, Texas. He enjoys golf, racquetball, and good company. While in law school, Collin plans to focus his attention on corporate and financial law.

Jaclyn KellyJaclyn Kelly

Jaclyn Kelly is a third-year senior from Arlington, Texas. This May, she will graduate Magna Cum Laude with a degree in Mathematics. She hopes to attend either Texas Tech School of Law or SMU Dedman School of Law this fall. She is a member of Alpha Lambda Delta and Phi Beta Kappa Honor Societies and the Honors College. Outside of school, Jaclyn enjoys spending quality time with her friends and family.

Charles MajorCharles Major

Charles Major is a Finance Major from Seguin, Texas. Charles is currently a senior graduating in the spring of 2009. Upon graduation, Charles plans to attend Law School and study Corporate Law. In addition to school, Charles enjoys working out, socializing and working on various graphic design projects.

Michael McKinin

Michael McKinin is a junior psychology major with a Spanish minor from Canyon, Texas. He is currently involved in Student Alumni Board, various academic organizations, and actively volunteers in the Lubbock community. Upon graduation, Michael plans to attend the Texas Tech School of Law and obtain a joint JD and MPA degrees. In his free time, Michael enjoys socializing with friends and working on cars.

Keith PodrebartzKeith R. Podrebartz

Keith Raymond Podrebartz is a transfer student working on a second B.A. at Texas Tech University. Keith is a sophomore pursuing a General Studies Degree in European Studies, Political Science and Communication Studies. Originally from Connecticut, Keith is an avid college football fan, who loves the mild winters and drier climate, where he spends his spare time jogging, hiking and exploring West Texas. Keith hopes to complete a master�s degree and attend Texas Tech School of Law, where he hopes to be part of the Innocence�s Project.

Rachel ReaganRachel Reagan

Rachel Reagan is a freshman at Texas Tech University, who will be graduating from the Rawls College of Business with a joint degree in Finance and Economics in the spring of 2012. Rachel was raised in Hobbs, New Mexico. She is undecided about which school of law she plans on attending; however plans on staying in the South West region of the country. Rachel is currently a member of Sigma Phi Lambda Christian Sorority and Alpha Lambda Delta/ Phi Eta Sigma honors fraternity. Outside of school, Rachel enjoys going to church, playing golf, and traveling as much as possible.

Jarett ThompsonJarett Thompson

Jarett Thompson is a Junior originally from Gary, Indiana. Jarett is majoring in both Psychology and Spanish, while earning a minor in General Business. After receiving his MA in Romance Languages, Jarett plans on attending either Texas Tech School of Law or Baylor School of Law to earn a joint JD and MBA degree. Jarett has goals on becoming an international corporate attorney concentrating on Spanish speaking nations. Jarett is a member of Impact Tech, Mentor Tech, and Phi Alpha Delta. Jarett is the only child. On his free time, Jarett enjoys going to the movies and pulling pranks on people.

Amelia WilliamsAmemelia Williams

Amelia Williams is a junior at Texas Tech University, majoring in Business Management along with a minor in Spanish. She is originally from El Paso, Texas and has also lived in Tucson, Arizona. Upon graduation, Amelia plans to attend law school, where she will work towards a joint JD and MBA degree. Amelia is an active member of various organizations around the Texas Tech Campus. When given free time she enjoys music, family time, and socializing with friends.
